Maritime Hub connecting two worlds.

The Empresa Portuaria Austral -Epaustral- is the
Chilean state owned terminal managing the
southernmost Region of Chile port terminals.
These ports are the Arturo Prat & J.S.
Mardones Piers in Punta Arenas, the Puerto
Natales Pier and the Puerto Williams Pier.
The Table below summarizes the Piers main
characteristics.
This port infrastructure allows the attention of vessels from several scientific world
programs, including some using these
ports as their base port. In addition to the
infrastructure, there are, among others,
services offered such as:

• Wharfage to the ship,
• Cargo transfer,
• Cargo storage,
• Water supply and
• Oil supply to the ships.
